These works are drawn from the Pier Walk sculpture show in Chicago, and have been exhibited in Washington, DC. The exhibit explores the process of joining different parts into a dynamic and integrated whole. The joining of parts can literally refer to the physical components of a work, and by extension, metaphorically allude to human experiences and communities. The artists are from California, Illinois, Texas, Maryland and the Netherlands. All works shown here were selected by Sarah Tanguy, and the individual sculpture pages feature her writing about the work.
